With SureSmile, your doctor delivers the most precise orthodontic treatment available. The SureSmile braces are designed for you with advanced technology to move your teeth more accurately than ever before. After your SureSmile wire is inserted, you’ll be on your way to a beautiful, healthy smile sooner than you thought possible.
Instead of the doctor bending an archwire by hand, a SureSmile wire is custom-shaped by a robot.
Once the wire is inserted, each tooth moves directly to the prescribed position. It’s this precise, smooth movement that enables great results, a more comfortable experience than traditional braces and shorter treatment time.
Since SureSmile patients spend less time in treatment, they also make fewer visits to their orthodontists – a benefit any patient can appreciate.

Technology:

Step One: Advanced Imaging

SureSmile creates a 3-D computer model of your bite by using advanced imaging technology to scan your teeth. The 3-D image can be captured with the OraScanner® or Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). The scanning procedure is the beginning of your SureSmile treatment.

Step Two: Prescriptive Planning

With the 3-D model, the doctor can now see your teeth and how they fit together from any angle. SureSmile Treatment Planning Software provides virtual simulation tools that allow your doctor to determine the final position of your teeth and the most effective plan for your unique treatment needs.

Step Three: Robotic Accuracy

Once your treatment plan is determined, SureSmile directs a robot to bend a shape-memory alloy archwire according to your doctor’s prescription. This wire is designed to deliver the gentle forces needed to move your teeth consistently and directly to their desired finishing position.
